Harris Local Government Achieves Gold Certification for NYS Retirement Online

Niagara Falls, NY, May 26, 2021 – Harris Local Government, a leading provider of fund accounting, payroll, and billing software to government organizations across the United States, is proud to announce that it has been awarded Gold Certification with the New York State and Local Retirement System (NYSLRS) for recent enhancements to its Spectrum product line.

Spectrum was able to achieve Gold Certification by making strategic reporting enhancements within its payroll module, PayForce. These enhanced features allow customers to match payroll and personnel codes with NYSLRS codes, which will help ensure new hires are automatically enrolled in the correct pension plan, reduce the need for deficiency payments, and streamline Human Resources processes such as leave of absence and rehire.

Joe LaBuda, Executive Vice President of Harris Local Government commented, “achieving Gold Certification for NYSLRS expands Spectrum’s enhanced reporting features. We’re pleased to offer our customers highly accurate benefits information and improved retirement planning.”
